New Horizons
In 2021 we celebrate our 30th anniversary with new ideas and new peaks to conquer in today's fast-changing business climate. We invested in designing and building a modern warehouse that can meet our customers' needs and expand our vision for success. As a result, we meet new challenges with fresh energy and the proudly finalized projects behind.
Our History
1991
Trident Freight was founded in Varna, as one of the first private logistic companies in Bulgaria
1992
Agency agreement with BULCON for container services. BULCON is a shipping company established in 1892 and the biggest State Ship Owning Company with over a century-old tradition and experience in the shipping industry.
1993
Set the first bonded warehouse in Varna for the distribution of bottled olive oil.
1994
Appointed as a liner Agent for East Container Services Inc.;
Same year: purchased first own specialized truck composition for handling garment under contract with Mayer & Mayer, Germany.
1995
Purchased first owned specialized composition – container carrier and first owned specialized truck composition – car carrier;
Became an ordinary member of the Associations of the Bulgarian Forwarders.
1996
Became associate member of FIATA;
Participated in the Regional Association of Shipbrokers and Agents – Varna foundation.
1997
Appointed as Ship Agent for Daewoo at.
Purchased new truck composition – handling garment carrier.
Arranged an insurance cover for Ship Agent’s and Freight Forwarder’s Liabilities.
1999
Added two more truck compositions for handling garments into the fleet.
Moved into newly built office in Varna.
2000
Audited by Germanischer Lloyd under ISO – 9001:2000 Quality Management System.
Becoming the second Bulgarian freight forwarding company Certified by Quality Management System DIN EN ISO 9001 by Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH.
2001
Daughter Company THREE STARS ltd was established as agents for container carrier ZIM LINE exclusively for the territory of Bulgaria
2002
Added a new truck composition – handling garments carrier to the fleet
2003
Appointed for Commercial Agents for SNTG – Stolt Tank Container Division
2004
Daughter Company THREE STARS ltd was established as agents for container carrier ZIM LINE exclusively for the territory of Bulgaria
2005
Established Trident Freight Branch office in Burgas
2007
Purchased two new offices in Varna
Added a new truck composition – handling garments carrier to the fleet.
Established Trident Freight Branch office at Port of Varna West Terminal.
2009
Ferry boat line Varna – Kavkaz was officially started. Trident Freight is the nominated agent of the two ferry-boat vessels – m/v Avangard and m/v Slavyanin.
2013
Nomination for liner agency of COSCO Container Lines Ltd. through daughter company THREE STARS Ltd.
Awarded for Exporter of the Year Award for Dynamics of Export Development by Exported.bg
Invested in 16 000 sq.m. industrial land near Port of Varna West.
2014
The first stage of the warehouse project was finalized with the construction of 2 warehouses – 4600 sq.m. in total capacity
2015
Acquire certificate from BULGARIAN FOOD SAFETY AGENCY for storage and handling of grain, feed and food of non-animal origin. 12 000 mts. of grain and peace were handled and exported in containers within the year
2016
Built container depot within the area of 18 000 sq. m and capacity of more than 1 500 TEUs, equipped with 2 pcs. Svetruck and Kalmar front loaders for operating of units
2017
Opening company's first owned bonded warehouse 1250 sq.m.
2018
Growing and expanding our experience, services and coverage.
2019
Construction of a semi-closed warehouse area located in the TRIDENT FREIGHT BASE. This adds 2800 sq.m. to the total warehousing capacity.
2020
The capacity of the bonded warehouse is expanded to 4050 sq.m.
2021
Trident Freight is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
